Just a quick note to let you know that I've finally got all the details ironed out for our Barnes and Noble book fair on July 18th. I just updated the events page and included a downloadable flier for the event along with the vouchers you'll need that day when making a purchase, so please check it out! Hi again everyone!

I just wanted to let everyone know that our group now has a fan page on Facebook! So what does this mean? Well, it means that we now have another tool for getting the word out about our group and upcoming events - so it's a really good thing. If you're not familiar with Facebook, and you'd like to open a free account with them to keep in touch with family, friends, and yes, our group activities, simply go to their site and follow the simple instructions on creating an account. It's very easy, and all you really need is an email address. Once you've created an account, and for those of you who already have accounts, you can search for our group's page by typing in Jane Austen Central Valley. When you find our page, click on the "become a fan" link and you're in! 

This will be a wonderful way for me to send out invitations and updates for coming events as well as find other Janites in the central valley area. So please log on to Facebook and support our group! If you have any questions regarding this, please send me an email. Also, be sure to see our latest edition of an Ivory Byte while you're here!

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad you've all been visiting the new website! So far I've gotten some very nice comments on it, so thank you very much. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm currently working on some of our upcoming events, and I'll be able to update them on our events calendar soon so that the dates, times and locations are more accurate. Specifically I'm working on our December luncheon, our Masquerade Ball in October and the upcoming book fairs at Barnes and Noble. So keep checking back with our events calendar for more information, and let others know about our website!
